Really enjoyed my stay here, a super comfortable lodge with great modern Japanese decor. The staff and services provided were second to none and the location couldn't have been better, located central to all the ski lifts and right next to Echo land. It was a great place to unwind and relax after big days on the slopes, definitely recommend Sheltered Inn to anyone looking for place in Hakuba.

I can't recommend the Sheltered Inn enough, its a great place to stay in Hakuba. The staff are friendly and very accomodating, the rooms are comfortable and the common spaces are a great place to meet and talk to fellow travellers. As well as daily drop off's to the locals ski resorts, the staff even made reservations for us at nearby restaurants! I'll be back next ski season for sure!

We had a group of 12 so booked the entire Inn. Great location, clean, modern, and very friendly staff. The staff were very knowledgeable of the local area. They recommended restaurants and made our reservations. They even provided transportation around the local area. If your planning a trip to the Hakuba area I would highly recommend the Sheltered Inn Hakuba.

Not only did the Sheltered Inn feel like home, but the staff felt like friends after one day. They skied with us, came to dinner with us, drove us all around the valley...I mean, we were probably just really fun but still. I'd highly recommend staying here whether it's your first time in Hakuba and you don't have a clue where to ski or eat, or it's your 50th and you've got everything dialed. You can really turn your stay here into the experience you need.

We enjoyed sheltered inn so much that we ended up staying for two weeks. Good location- close to echo land, only a short stumble home after a few drinks. Pick up drop off service to the mountains was a god send. Great staff. Comfortable beds, good facilities. Communal lounge area downstairs was great for meeting and mingling with other guests. Overall, very good and would stay again.

We had a great stay at sheltered inn at Hakuba. Great service offered to take us to & from the mountains & Nick was so knowledgeable about where to go, giving us tips & advice. Cosy bed & nicely renovated bathrooms. A short walk to town which was nice to stretch the legs after day skiing. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in Hakuba at the Sheltered Inn. Location was excellent, in walking distance to heaps of restaurants, shops and bars in Echoland, as well as only being a small drive from some of the major Ski Resorts. The hosts were lovely and accommodating, providing continental breakfasts and shuttle services to the mountain pick of the day each morning. There was a great communal living space and good bathroom facilities. Would definitely recommend Sheltered Inn to friends and family looking for a nice escape to Hakuba!

Nestled amongst the wooded forest of the broader Echoland area, within short reach of amazing restaurants, bars, transportation services and only a short drive from two of the best mountains in the Hakuba Valley: Happo One and Hakuba 47.
